TVK’s Western Paradise Plus Second Felip Special

Just 4 months after his first appearance in Monthly Tone Bird, FELIP returned to TV  Yokohama’s Western Paradise + for a special feature. His exclusive feature was the first  segment  in the show’s episode aired on October 28, 2024 at 11 PM PHT.

Trending in the Philippines

The show started with the host stating that Felip’s previous appearance made the show trend in the Philippines. Felip congratulated the station and expressed how he’s so thankful for the unconditional love and support he receives from his fans. He also expressed that their devotion inspires him to do better and create more music. 

Album Signing in Japan

He was asked to share his experience from his recently concluded album signing event in Japan. Felip shared that he feels immensely honored to have hosted an exclusive album signing event in Tower Records, and that he feels really fortunate to have had that opportunity.

Japan-Exclusive CD

Having a Japan-exclusive CD package for his debut album 7sins, Felip expressed how he’s delighted to share a piece of his art to his listeners. He fondly shared the details of the CD having Japanese texts and anime-like design. He surprisingly shared that he asked for a copy for himself, and that he intends to collect all of his future physical albums.

7sins Album Theme and Message

When asked about 7sins‘ theme, Felip shared that he wants people to know that it is only natural for humans to commit sin and what’s important is understanding why people make mistakes. 

As for the message of the album, Felip shared that the concept wasn’t planned. It came to him suddenly, and thought about how it would be an interesting concept to have songs about the 7 sins – envy, pride, wrath, greed, gluttony, sloth and lust. He said that he knew the messages would be dark, and hard to explain as the songs portray sins, and sins in general are bad. But he, as an artist, wanted to take on the challenge to express his thoughts through the album.

Anime and Japanese Culture

Knowing his love for anime, Felip was asked about the shows he currently enjoys watching. He mentioned Eminence in Shadow, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, Reincarnated as a Slime, and Major.

Felip shared his love for Japanese culture, especially the local food. He also said most of the rock bands he looks up to are in Japan and hopes to one day have a collaborative work with them. He expressed his wish to participate in Japanese fashion events too. Ultimately, Felip shared that he wishes to really focus more on releasing more music in Japan and perform on bigger stages in the future.

A Message to His Japanese Fans

Before his segment concluded with the MV for  “envy,” Felip shared his message to his Japanese fans. He expressed his gratitude for all the support he receives and told them how he deeply appreciates all the fans’ efforts. He also wished all his fans good health, welfare and happiness.
