Artist Bio
Felip is a Filipino singer-songwriter, dancer, producer and entrepreneur. He first discovered his love and passion for music as the son and grandson of pastors. His first musical influence was his uncle who performed during church service.
As a young man, Felip initially studied Architecture, all the while performing in various dance cover groups, most notably Xcite in Cagayan de Oro and Amigo7 in Metro Manila. His passion for performing eventually became his primary focus. In 2018, he left school to audition at ShowBT where he trained for six months as the fifth member of an up and coming pop group that would later come to be known as SB19.
In 2021, while still part of SB19, and performing as Ken, the group’s main dancer, lead vocalist and lead rapper, Felip would also attempt to strike a solo path, releasing his first solo Palayo.
The following year, Felip became the first Philippine representative and Southeast Asian to perform for the Grammy Global Spin, featuring his Philippine mythology-themed second single, Bulan.
Today, Ken continues to prioritize work with SB19, but has consistently released solo work throughout the years as Felip; including his first EP, COM.PLEX; first album 7sins; original singles Kanako and Fake Faces; and song collaborations Pangga Remix, FLYYY and Pagdali.
In 2024, Felip reached a milestone in his career with his first solo concert for 7sins, which he later took to Japan. While there, he embarked on his first joint work with Japanese artists in SKY-HI’s rap song, “ID”. Felip later performed the piece alongside other rappers at D.U.N.K. in Yokohama.
Outside of his music career, he also heads his own clothing company, SUPERIOR SON, and is quickly becoming a fashion icon in the making, having been featured in fashion publications including Vogue and Nylon.
