A story of my journey to discovering new ways of navigating life.
Stumbling upon FELIP wasn’t this grand revelation. It happened one ordinary day but marked a pivotal point in my life. It’s amusing how life tosses these unexpected curve balls at you! It came out of the blue, but it wasn’t all chance. I suppose God had a hand in it. It was part of His grander scheme—like a gentle push, nudging me towards something fulfilling.
My journey to FELIP began indirectly through SB19. My younger brother casually mentioned the group during a random chat. I recognized them then, but it wasn’t until much later in the pandemic—when we were all cooped up indoors with nothing much to do, leaving me yearning for diversion—that I looked them up. So it was during a moment of idle browsing on YouTube that SB19 popped into my head. Little did I know it would lead me to FELIP!
As I dived into SB19’s vlogs, I was drawn to one member in particular: Ken (I’m sure you saw that one coming). His authenticity resonated deeply with me—subtly revealing his vulnerabilities and passions just through the screen. And before I knew it, I was nose-deep into his song covers and fan cams. Shortly after, the YouTube algorithm served me Felip’s Palayo official music video. Of course, I watched it (Tell me, who wouldn’t?), and I was hooked! His music spoke to me in ways I couldn’t put into words. This discovery opened the door to something extraordinary.
FELIP has become more than just an artist to me—he’s my muse, my source of inspiration, and a conduit for my creativity. He has unknowingly impacted my life beyond music. I’ve picked up hobbies I dropped in the past, slowly getting back into designing and crafting. As they say, art makes art, like amoeba recreating. His music comforts me and fills me with a sense of purpose. That is something I will always be grateful for.
I used to be all about burying my nose in books. I still love a good read, but music has taken on a whole new meaning for me. It made the mundane not seem so mundane anymore! Thanks to him, exploring music has become another favorite hobby. It’s exposed me to many different cultures, countries, and languages that I would never have gotten into.
So, supporting him—both as an individual and as an artist—throughout this lifetime is my way of giving back. I aim to keep the ripple going and inspire people just as he has inspired me.
