G Streamer Challenge – Ken’s Gamer Mindset

Question: What are your favorite games of all time and currently?

Ken: DOTA (Defense Of The Ancients) and PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds). Just those two.

Question: How was your first experience with video games?

Ken: Stressful? Haha! It’s a little stressful in the beginning. When you’re still learning muscle memory, like how to estimate, checking the crosshair of your scope – how it should always be on point. You should always aim for a headshot. Because if you play in tier 1 levels, you’ll definitely encounter pro players who are already in PMCO (PUBG Mobile Club Open) and it’s really challenging so the best strategy is to aim for a headshot.

Question: What was the first game that made you stressed?

Ken: Contra, Mortal Kombat, Adventure Island, what else? Hmm, similar games like those.

Question: How do you deal with the pressure of being on screen or on stage?

Ken: Just be natural. Whoever you are in real life, just carry on being you even on screen. At least you’ll get to show the real you. Although of course with limits. There are still differences between real life and on screen persona. How you speak or carry yourself should always be pleasant to the audience.

Question: What do you think is the most important factor in becoming an influencer?

Ken: Your personality. You need to show how strong you are. For example, our group SB19 went through a lot of struggles and hardships and we’re hoping to inspire other people, although we still recognize we’re humans. There will still be times when we’ll feel down. But then that’s when you need to be stronger to get through it.

Question: Would you recommend new streamers to follow the trend or make their own?

Ken: If they are still starting, then I think they’d need to follow the trend first and make a name for themselves. The exception would be if they are extremely lucky and get to become a trend setter at first try. Once they are established then they can go on creating or initiating their own trend.

Question: Advice to people to want to be influencers in the future.

Ken: Just be ready because it’s not going to be an easy road. Being an influencer, there will be lots of eyes on you. People will judge you. Just make sure to recognize your true self. It’s alright to feel down and weak sometimes. You can take a break, before you stand up again and keep going. Prepare your temperament and your heart. It’s not going to be easy to be an influencer.

Question: Do you play Axie Infinity?

Ken: No.

Question: How about Cocomelon?

Ken: Cocomelon? Isn’t that the kids program? I find it really adorable to hear children’s songs. Haha!

Question: How about Spongebob?

Ken: I’ve watched it a lot of times since it’s everywhere on social media nowadays. It’s really popular. I find it really amusing.

Question: How about a 5 v 5 FPS (First-person shooter) game?

Ken: Hmmm, I play 5 v 5 in PUBG. I remember when we were grinding for Conqueror, I gave up. I got too dizzy. It’s too uncomfortable for my eyes.

Question: How about Battle Royale? (involves dozens to hundreds of players, who start with minimal equipment and then must eliminate all other opponents while avoiding being trapped outside a shrinking “safe area”, with the winner being the last player or team alive)

Ken: Yeah. Haha! Of course that’s a must in PUBG.

Question: How about MMORP (massively multiplayer online role-playing) game?

Ken: I did experience it. But isn’t it less engaging? I prefer more hands-on games, where there’s more pressure on engaging commands.

Question: How about Gacha games? (Games that rely on randomized in-game transaction)

Ken: No, I haven’t played it yet. I have one downloaded on my phone but I haven’t played it yet.

Question: ‘Pabuhat’ (weak player for multiplayer games) or ‘Tagabuhat’ (VIP in multiplayer games)?

Ken: Tagabuhat of course! I’m a Fragger (a player who specializes in securing kills), so it’s crucial that I’m always in combat.

Question: Full production stream? Or no overlay at all?

Ken: It can be anything I guess. Both maybe.

Question: Meta game streams or play what I want streams?

Ken: Play what I want

Question: Twitch or Facebook?

Ken: Facebook
