In episode three of FELIP Boost, we’ll talk about streaming. But first thing’s first. Have you followed all of the superior’s accounts in music and media platforms? If you still haven’t, click on the following links to follow and subscribe.
How to Stream Properly
When we profoundly enjoy a certain music style from an artist, there is a tendency to “stick” to the artist’s discography and not explore outside for a period of time. As such, this is entirely expected of new fans who just learned about Felip and are still in the stage of immersing themselves in his music.
This style of streaming however, as much as it is flattering, isn’t the most effective in helping other new listeners discover Felip. Because of repetitive and predictable streaming patterns, music platforms’ systems may identify the streaming method as “robotic”, thus reducing the number of counted streams for Felip’s music. We definitely would not want that, right?
But don’t get intimidated just yet. Ken and Felip fan bases curated helpful guidelines on proper streaming to make sure all your streaming efforts count.
YouTube Streaming Guidelines
Starting with the most accessible media platform, let’s get into YouTube streams. If you think streaming the same video nonstop and leaving loads of comments to boost engagement helps the video to get popular, think again. This behavior will lead to YouTube thinking you are a bot and will stop counting your views. YouTube also won’t count views from an account that spams comments in videos. Spotify Streaming Guidelines
As of Jan of this year, Spotify ranked as the most popular music streaming platform with more than 350 users and 150 million subscribers as per CNN Underscored article. As of July 2024, Felip’s Spotify artist account has 274 thousand monthly listeners. If you have a Spotify premium account and you want to stream Felip’s music in a way that also boost his engagements with new listeners, read the detailed Spotify streaming guidelines shared by @casinagsh:
Apple Streaming Guidelines
Alternative to Spotify is Apple Music. Immediately available to Apple device users, this platform is also accessible to Android device users. Apple Music has its reputation among avid music listeners for its features such as hi-re lossless which means the music retains its original high quality. So if you prefer listening through Apple Music, check this handy guide for proper streaming from @casinagsh below:
Don’t Forget to Shazam
At last, let’s get into Shazam. But what exactly is Shazam and why do we need it? This concise guide shared by @casinagsh explains the importance of using Shazam for Felip’s music.
